BTW, it's the publishers you need to convince, not the retailers. Unless you're talking about a title published by Amazon. The retailers are guilty, if you want to use that word, of offering DRM, but they have to if they want to be able to sell books from the major publishers.

And just to add on most KDP books are DRM Free! Amazon does not choose the DRM the publisher does, by default there is no DRM on books the publisher must choose that option.
