OK Paolo;
I installed 596 and it ran fine, then I installed 1.2.6.10 and I couldn't launch Koreader, just like you. In my case it just showed the koreader.png as an image. So, I did a bunch of things and got it back working. The only thing I needed to do though, is to run the KoboRoot.tgz from the koreader update to reinitialize the launch process. Edit; tried again and there is more to it. Had to go back to 1.2.6.7 to get everything working again.
