close calibre
Start usbdview as administrator
ctl-f search for nook devices
delete all entries for the nook
close usbdview
plug in your nook and windows will reinstall the drivers
start caliber and your nook should be recognized.

I then deleted all entries on the Nook, disconnected the Nook and turned off program. I thenplugged in my Nook and it instralle the drivers for it. Calier was turned on but does not recognize the nook still.
I was wondering if I save all my books on a external drive and uninstall the calibre program and then re-install it again, like starting all over, and put books ack in calibre if that woul help.
