Well, thank you kindly, but I must type smarter than I am. ;-) I really don't use Calibre at all, other than cataloging, so...I don't know what it is, I seem to stumble around with it for quite a while before I can figure out how to do X with it. I won't embarrass myself by admitting how long it took me to figure out how to add "Polish ePUB" to the options (via the Preferences--> menu), just so I could
try the font subsetting feature.

PS: Hitch: some smartphones and tablets can be used as remote controls after performing certain high-tech steps (not just installing an app). Just letting you know in case you want to get rid of a few remotes.

Thanks--I'll contemplate it. My spouse's biggest frustration is the rounded back of the Roku remote, which constantly slides, rolls, and ends up in odd places. I just put it on the table, myself, but he puts remotes next to him in the King-width leather chair I just got him this past year. When he butt-dials the Roku, I start to laugh. Constantly pisses him off.

While the lower end one does function reliably, you need a (assigned button) cheat sheet as the buttons all bear the common (TV,VCR) labels.
Spend the extra $$ for a fully (labelwise) configurable touch screen device.
'Peel' (remote app) on my TAB2 only works half-*ssed with my equipment (some is heading for 20 Years old).

Thanks, Ducks, m'love, I'll look into that. I like Logitech--typing on a Logitech keyboard right now, as the Microsoft Natural experiment was nice but incredibly short-lived (key letters WORE OFF in under 8 weeks, a new record), so I really will look into that, super!
