It has always baffled me as to why the browser won't download PDFs. I have not learned of any jailbreak solution that works around this. Of course you can use Send To Kindle to send PDF wirelessly, if the Kindle is registered to an Amazon account.

I don't share concerns about using Amazon services, they just seem so obviously convenient compared to the alternatives, so I can't answer for those people who do. Note that there is an option (with Send To Kindle desktop app) to 'send only' and not store the file in cloud.
