Not being an Australian customer of Kobo, or any of the others involved, take my comments for that of an outsider, watching from the sidelines. But seriously, folks -- now would be a really good time to visit Apprentice Alf and make sure you have clean, unencumbered copies of all your eBooks from Bookworld, etc. Just in case. As you point out, there could be "unintended consequences". And while I'm sure the goal would be to make sure nothing got lost, it never hurts to have a clean backup.
