Of course, I have no problem with that. Companies don't have an issue with that.
But the general public seems to have an issue with buying authentic hardware, when they can buy knockoffs which are "just as good" for half the price on eBay, etc. And that's where the problem comes in.
Because when a battery blows up, who gets the blame for it? The company that made the device. And every time an iPhone has blown up, it's because the person installed a third-party battery themselves. Same thing happened with Samsung's Galaxy S3 recently.
