I had updated my Aura HD in the meantime, so played a lot with the three of them, and the PW2 wins hands down. Then comes the PW1 and the Aura HD, although much nicer now with 2.9.0 and the integration of Pocket, still comes last, mainly due to its design, its bluish light compared to the PWs and still quirky (much better than 2.8.1 though) SW.

I lucked out with a perfect PW2 delivered on 30Sep after three returns with the PW1 last year (all were horribly blotchy with hues). But as much as I really like the PW2, and being a longtime Amazon customer, I find I still prefer the Aura HD for the gorgeous display, higher resolution, slightly larger reading area, use of personal fonts and overall customization. I don't purchase from Kobo but convert and sideload all my Amazon-purchased books.
