Could be the wifi
As I've said in another thread somewhere, I transferred about 650 books in one go from Calibre, then did a full charge. After about 10 hours of reading on it (light anywhere between 7 and 15), the battery indicator had moved 1 notch from full. I do however always keep the wifi off.
