And yes, calibre is only available for "desktop OSs" in other words no tablets out phone operating systems. It's available for windows, mac, and linux. There's also a portable version of you want in case you have access to computers while travelling but not your own. You can always just but books on Kobo.
Depending on what you read and where you are, Kobo can be quite a bit cheaper, especially with promo codes.
