Wow!!! I've read all 5 Martin books on the Game of Thrones...can't wait for the 6th. I've also seen all 4 seasons of the TV show and think HBO did a reasonable job (the sets, actors and locations were amazing). I agree Martin is one slow writer but, to give him credit, he's got quite a script of characters, situations and dramas to account for. Quite a task if you ask me. As far as the TV series goes I'm wondering what will happen after season 5. I've heard that Martin has left an outline of book/season progressions to their climax (in case he dies in the interim...sure hope that doesn't happen).
So...what I've liked is James Rollins (early ones) Subterranean and Excavation.
Right now I'm reading "The Amazing Story of Quantum Mechanics" (gotta learn somthin' every day right?)
Aside from that I thank you all for the wonderful suggestions you've made regarding future reading material.
You're all such a charm and wonder on this magical forum.
