I've used calibre about 2 years ago as well.
Certainly a great tool.
But I found, that I simply don't need it.
I've got about 700 Amazon books on my Kindle Paperwhite (I've bought about 900, but only about 700 fit in the meager 2GB). I find the one I'm looking for within less than a minute, no collections or anything like that needed.
Only one thing bothers me, but that's unfortunately true for all readers/stores:
Why can't they specify the metadata properly?
I absolutely hate it, when I buy books from the very same source and the author's name for example varies from:
James Patterson
JAMES PATTERSON
Patterson James
Patterson, James
I wish, there were a common standard for all publishers. But at least from the very same source I'd expect some consistency.
In the beginning, I changed such inconsistencies via calibre. But now I simply find it too time consuming. I'm not archiving my books on the PC either anymore...
