I have done nothing to the Audible books. They are as they were when they were downloaded from Audible into iTunes. From the comments here, it sounds like these free "whisper sync" Audible books are in the standard Audible format. If so, the Apple Music App should play them. I hope that will be true of IOS 7.

All Whispersync for Voice means is that the books support the server-side ability to maintain the same last-read position in the audio book and the text version of the book. That feature may or may not be functional with the iPod music app, I don't know, but there is nothing different about the books themselves. They are just like any other Audible book, so they will play if any Audible books will.
