Honestly, I've never been even tempted to look into the paranormals! I read a few (time-traveling highlanders, I think) that crossed over into my preferred sub-genre (historical), and it was all so.. Well, the super-human ramped-up bad-assery kicking all the bad guy butt and hopping into a car and speeding away, and I just was bored in my disbelief. I can do fantasy, but it was just so over the top that I rolled my eyes once a page.

I have read a few of Patricia Rice's Regency witch series, and a Regency vampire book by Lori Brighton (I think a novella linked to it just went free over the weekend) that I enjoyed and would probably give other historical paranormals a try, were our resident PNR aficionados to suggest any...
