Interesting. I guess I should have figured that as that's how you had to do things with older iPod's. I just hardly ever connect my iPod to a computer and download directly to the Audible app so I guess I didn't think about it.

To answer jangell2's question then, no you shouldn't have to use the Audible app if you don't want to. Whispersync titles can be downloaded to your computer and transferred just like any other title.
