I always thought you needed the audible app but it turns out you don't
The book is downloaded to an audible authorised iTunes account and then sync'd onto the idevice

Just wondering, the audible app can play non audible books that one would normally listen to in the music app I've done this before but since the big IOS update I have had a few issues with the audible app keeping the spot in non audible books. Any one else experiencing this?
