At Amazon.de in Germany the basic Kindle is now (for several weeks) offered at 49 EURO. It is w/o SO! And this is so far the best eReader for price value in Germany.
The New PW wifi is offered to Prime customers (29 Euro per year in Germany not comparable to US Prime!) in Germany at 99 EURO!
Amazon does feel the German competition of the Tolino eReader with front light (99 EURO) for German ePubs offered by a consortium. The software is not as good as the PW but you have wifi all over Germany at 12000 Telekom hot spots.
