What happens if a library patron does not own an electronic reading device? Can libraries be expected to have enough ereaders on hand to cover the needs of all of their patrons? If all of the loaner ereaders are checked out and the patron is unable to afford his/her own ereader, is the patron SOL?

I love having access to ebooks through my local library, but it seems to me that an ebook only library is the complete antithesis to what a public library should be.
