I have an old Kobo (before the Touch) that I have used with Calibre in the past. I am trying to put some books on right now for my son to use and I get this error:

At first it was showing up normally and I tried to send a few books to it, epubs that I'd converted from another format. Calibre just hung for a bit, then went back to the same place in the library and it appeared nothing had transferred to the Kobo. Tried it again and got the error. Have done this several times (after rebooting Kobo, Calibre, etc) and am still getting the error, though it does show the device, just not what is on it. But, oddly enough, the books did at some point transfer and are now on the Kobo.
