If ereaderoutfitters' price is comparable to iRex's and your DR1000 warranty is supported locally, why would you buy from iRex's website?
I can't think of any reason not to choose the local distributor, pay in your own currency, and have on-hand support if you have any problems or questions.
Perhaps other distributors haven't received their DR1000 delivery yet. We're expecting our delivery any day and I haven't heard about any problems, as you're suggesting.
