Which version of Revo - Free or Pro, and how deep did you ask it to look. This is not the first hint that Revo and Calibre don't always get along.
I had problems with Free when I first installed Win 7, not with calibre, something else, I forget what. Before buying Pro I decided to see if I could live without Revo. I've decided I can.
My conclusion is that either MS smartened up its side of install/uninstall processes or that software suppliers smartened up their side of it - probably a bit of both. Consequently I'm of the opinion that the need for things like Revo in Win7/8 is diminished - XP was a different story.
