I disagree. The point is that the vast majority of people are happy with the first device they receive.

Yet, the "hot threads" in this forum involve a small, but extremely vocal minority which suggests that it's almost impossible to find even a decent-looking paperwhite, and that it's totally normal that (almost) everybody returns their devices at least once or twice, and possibly up to ten times or more, before getting a device that they can barely stand.

Yes, it's easy. But it's a hassle both for the consumer and for Amazon. And last not least, if everybody was returning their Kindles 5 times, their price would probably double. But fortunately, only a small but vocal minority does that.
