@joncl: You'll need to clarify what you're doing.
Assuming the default settings, 192.168.15.201 is the IP you assign the cdc_eth network interface, and 192.168.15.244 is the IP you're trying to connect to.
You might also want to try a decent pure SSH client (putty), instead of WinSCP.
