The one thing I've noticed that is in favor of a paperback is that you can point a lamp straight at it. Can't do that with a PW, which makes the paperback more readable if the PW's light is off. Same goes for some hardcovers (or real high quality paperbacks) with bright shiny paper; can't read them in bright light.
If there is one improvement I'd welcome, then it's less glare.
