Go to K4PC to see your Cloud Collections

Import the collections from your PW 2012 and 2013 and see if they import correctly, what imports is what is on their servers.
If you use K4PC for Windows 8, then you can click on the Import button there and it will show Collections still in the Cloud by device name. Your CS was wrong. Just using a device reset from the unit deregisters it AND deletes all eBooks and Collections connected to it.

Plus, if you open the deregistered unit, it does not even have a WiFi connection, settings or your name. Its all destroyed and would require a totally new re-registration.

By the way, you can NOT do that if you have disabled access to the Amazon store. You first have to use your password to enter the Amazon store and then leave access to that store as "on."

The only flaw in the process is that, if you import collections from one of your devices, it will be arranged in the order entered on the device and will not sort alphabetically. Thus, I deleted all the imported Collections and created them anew in K4PC for Windows 8 in my numeric arrangement.

I also notice that, if one removes an eBook from a device and then re-downloads it, it remains attached to its original Collection.

The other discovery I made was that eBooks read in K4PC for Windows 7 will not be accessible in K4PC for Windows 8. They all have to be downloaded again.
