One of my favourite writers is Australian. I really enjoyed Markus Zusak's The Messenger and The Book Thief. I've read three of Sara Douglass's books as well and Robert Hughes Barcelona. I think that's is for Australia for me. Three authors, six books. Definitely space for a few more writers and books there. Considering they are an English-speaking Commonwealth nation.
