Don't get your hopes raised too high just yet. Installing the developer certificate on a Kindle that you have full access to is relatively simple (even if getting that access isn't, because it requires physical disassembly, and soldering skills). Finding a jailbreak for end users is an entirely different story though, and is much more difficult.
Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying that what npoland is doing is easy or useless. Quite the contrary: it's a fundamentally important step, so I applaud the effort, and I'm deeply grateful, as this is the foundation for all future analyses. I'm just saying that it's probably still a looooong way to a working jailbreak.
