You might want to be sure and "connect" to your PC with your USB cable and copy the contents of the KOBOreader drive to a folder on your PC. That will give you a backup of the initial condition of all your files and programs, especially including the "KoboReader.sqlite" file. You will then be able to fix a lot of problems that otherwise might require a factory restore.
If you are adventurous, you can make and keep a clone image of the internal uSD card and/or upgrade the uSD card to a larger, up to 32GB, for sure. To do so you will need to open the case.
