I don't think we'll ever have 100% uniform lighting with the current technology. The screen is lighted across its surface by a bunch of teeny tiny led lights, it really is almost like stage lighting. I can see very subtle shadows at the bottom of the screen, but I'd still say that the lighting is 99% even. Mind you, I'm upgrading from a K3, so the lighting looks a million times better than what I could get with my lighted cover.
