If that is the case, then I have no doubt that the first KPW1 firmware upgrade that incorporates one or more KPW2 features will remove this bug/function.
I wouldn't even be surprised if both Kindles would run the same firmware at some point, only omitting features that need the new hardware; such as the screen refresh after more pages. I think, if Amazon wanted to, they could actually port some of the features to the Touch, but I don't think they will.
