Best 7-10" Tablet for Performing at Readings?

For years, I've used e-ink readers for performances and author's readings. The advantages are not carrying books or loose papers, and always being able to access the latest-revised version in an easy-to-read format.

The big disadvantages: Slow page turns and occasional freezes and restarts.

Does anyone else use electronic devices other than cell phones for performing at readings and book signings? If so, which device has proved most reliable for you? Do you use a tablet? If so, which kind?

For the moment, I'm thinking of using a Nexus 7.2 (the form factor seems perfect), but I'll also be quite curious to see the next iterations of the Nexus 10, Galaxy Note III and iPad Mini.

Ideas, anyone?
