I ordered mine (wi-fi w/so) on September 3rd with 2-day prime and it had a delivery date of 10/2. Early Monday I saw that it had shipped through Lasership with 10/30 delivery date. The serial number is in my account. It didn't come. Then they changed the date on the tracking on Amazon's website to 10/1.

I put my tracking number into Lasership's website. It said they hadn't received my package from shipper as of 9/30 at 3:30pm (they'd received the paperwork Sunday night at 9:30pm). It had no delivery date. Since another Amazon order that included the cover didn't arrive as promised on Saturday, I called Amazon. They say it was lost and I can't get a new paperwhite until 10/15. The order that was lost with the cover had to be re-ordered, they said (on Saturday), and I did that immediately. That order was going to be in the same package with my paperwhite (same Lasership tracking number for all of the items even though the Amazon order numbers were different).

About an hour after I talked to Amazon the first time, I called again and asked to speak with supervisor. I was sent around to 4 other people, the last of which were with Kindle Support. Someone there said they will contact Lasership. They have to be sure that it's missing before they will send me another one. But the first customer service person said it was lost. So I'm not sure what is going on with it, but the last person has me hoping that I might get it this week.

I am surprised that they are so sloppy about this. That is why I called them again. For the second call I was on the phone for over an hour (sometimes on hold). I am not a happy customer.
