Wish: Change channel settings from handheld

I would like to be able to change the settings of a channel from the handheld.  For example, if I am working with a channel and discover that I would like to increase the link depth by one, it would be quite useful to me to be able to make the change from my handheld and have it ploughed back into the PC side.  I'm not sure if this is plausible, and it may go back to my suggestion about a wireless client, but I thought I would make it, if for nothing else, then to see what people think about the idea.
