OK -- must have been a corporate firewall filter. I couldn't go to the sony.com/reader URL, either, because it redirected to sonystyle.com
Now that I'm home, I can view the webcam, hear him talking with people, and I see a lighted square thing next to his left elbow. Don't know if it's a front-lighted reader or a reading lamp.
