How true. For some reason we are quick to judge based upon what we see, even though we ought to know from our own lives that there is a lot that others don't see in us. (Sometimes because we keep those things private, and sometimes because certain aspects of our lives don't relate to other people.)

One of the fun things about Vancouver was watching the street people read, sometimes in libraries and sometimes on the streets. It's not something that I thought that segment of society would do. But they do, and some of them are fairly well educated regardless of their circumstances.
