I've never used a screen protector on any of my eink ereaders. A good, sturdy cover will do far more to protect the screen.

As for a stylus, I'd wait and test the unit out before I'd bother thinking about a stylus. To look up a work that is already on the screen, all you need to do is press on the word with a finger, you don't have to type it out. If you decide you need a stylus, you can always get one later.
