Sigil uses the Temp folder for its 'scratchpad', Acrobat Reader scribbles stuff in there, as does Nitro PDF, Firefox writes a copy of its cookie database there, Chrome writes its installer log in there, FastPictureViewer uses it...

If you want to go back to the installed version you could try giving calibre a dedicated temp folder, using the CALIBRE_TEMP_DIR directive ==>> http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/cust...ment-variables
