Well....I took a trip to our local Barnes&Noble store. Their sale was too much to pass up and I bought the Nook HD. The 16gb version sold for $119. Seems like a fantastic deal to me!!
I will be mostly reading on it, but I do like that I can add some apps that I use, such as docs to go, color note, dropbox, Evernote..basic things like that. I do like the nook glow, just lack the wherewithal to root one. The sales person at Barnes&Noble was Very helpful. He downloaded all of the updates for me there in the store so that I could be sure that the model I had worked up to my expectations
. Love the screen. I was reading this afternoon out on my porch, in the shade, and it was perfectly readable. I think that I am going to love this Nook. And to add an unexpected pleasant surprise, my favorite Nook Color cover fits my new Nook HD. What a deal!!
