eDelivery at Smashwords Looking for Private Beta Users

Hello Mobilereaders!

At Smashwords we are hard at work making your reading experience better. We have a feature in private beta which we think you will be very excited about: the ability to deliver books to your Kindles and Dropbox accounts.

With this feature you can have books delivered automatically to your devices on check-out, or choose to send previously purchased or free books from your library at any time.

To kick this feature off, we'd like to conduct a private beta. The first 25 people to PM me a link to their Smashwords profile will be sent an email at their Smashwords email account on how to get started.

We will be closing the call for beta users as soon as we reach 25 or Monday at 10:30AM PST (whichever comes first), and your invitation email will arrive shortly after.

Thanks for your participation!

Update: As of Sunday 9PM PST, we still have room for more beta testers. PM me your Smashwords profile link to participate!

Update: As of Monday 12:35 PST, the private beta has commenced and we are no longer accepting requests for beta testers. If you missed out, you'll be able to use the new features as soon as we release, which shouldn't be too far away.

Update: As of Friday, November 15, 2013, we've released Send to Dropbox! Our CEO, Mark Coker, made a great blog post about it.

Update: As of Wednesday, February 12, 2014, we've released Send to Email! Here are the new highlights:

Adds email as a destination for your books to be sent to. We will always send your books from edelivery@smashwords.com *hint, hint*
Adds the ability to configure the formats sent to destinations including dropbox
Adds the ability to configure the email address that books are sent to
Adds the ability to send book samples
Adds the send button to the book action control box, as long as the book is free, a sample is available, or the user has bought the book.

We hope this makes it easier than ever to get books to your tablets.
