Quite. That brings to mind a book I am very, very glad I read before I saw the movie and which does have two (of its six) sections that are dystopia/post-apocalypse, Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell.

I don't want to discourage anyone from seeing the movie but, if you do, please read the book at least once. Considering the challenging source material, they did a fairly good job, it just didn't do the book justice.
