Maybe not quite the right theme, but Paolo Bacigalupi's The Windup Girl was a good read for me in the dystopian vein. More along the line of corporations running amuck with the environment. His short story collection Pump Six and Other Stories from which the short story that The Windup Girl is based on comes from was also a good read.
