I can't say I'm noticing any problems. I searched out 2 books:

a calibre SVG cover page followed by a second SVG (similar code to first) with an alternate cover
a calibre SVG cover page followed by a simple B&W image title page, similar to
Code:

<p class="center"><img src="images/tpage.jpg" alt="" /></p>
```

both books look OK to me. How do you have yours coded?
