I've sorted this out. M for iPhone will show 12/24 hr clocks according to your device settings (M for iPad already does this). If you choose a 12-hr clock, I'll drop the "am/pm" bit to make space. Expect it in a point update soon (but not the very next version - it had already been submitted before I was made aware of this).
