I had no idea either, but even following instructions and trying multiple ways, I was not able to re-register it at all. Fortunately, the person I am sending it to is going to do lots of hacking fun to it and will never bother with registering it. But it was a very bad experience, for me! All I had on it was Nook Manager. Should have been a simple matter.
