In my opinion, go for the Nook HD for $109. That's a great price for a new device. If you want to use a lot of apps, get the 16gb for $119. It would be well worth it. The Nook HD is a perfect ereader. Even outdoors I find it quite readable, just turn the brightness all the way up. An anti-glare screen protector is a good investment, too, because the screen is very shiny.
Rumor has it new models will be released in the next week or two. So I would hold off on buying the Simple Touch with or without Glowlight.
Paid $149 for my daughter's 16gb ND last July....darn it!
