Agreed. I can't stand today's historical heroines unless they are from certain situations.

A gentle bred lady should not act like a hellion or be so brazen. It's a huge put off for me. Now if the heroine is say from the rookeries of St. Giles that attitude would fit her.

A heroine can be strong and yet not be over the top like most are in today's historical romances.
