To me a book "club" or discussion thread would involve a lot more actual discussion and then we'd get into the whole what's a spoiler issue. Better to keep it simple.

And those who want to list their books read, great. But like with the buy report no one HAS to. Or they could just list the books read without a rating/comment.

ETA: I actually only rate my books because of Calibre. If I really don't like a book I delete it So my ratings are kinda off as anything 2 stars and above I actually at least liked. 1 star books are only kept if they are by a favorite author or part of a series.
I smiled when I saw that if you don't like a book you delete it from Calibre... I do too.
Also I like that some people will list books they bought or read or liked or didn't like, etc. That way everyone has something to say...as of this thread has that problem.
