Under the covers an epub file is in ZIP format and in this case Internet Explorer thinks it knows better than you what the file should be called.

What is it that is differentiating the manual calibre.epub file accessed from the link? I have downloaded many hundreds (probably many more than a thousand) of epubs over a number of years with various versions of Internet Explorer up to now version 10, from many sources, and out of those it is only the calibre.epub from the link that has ever downloaded as a ".zip" ???
