I've lost my faithful Bebook Neo and need a replacement. I mainly read fiction - quite a lot, and for several hours in a stretch.
Must have:
- Physical page turn buttons
- EPUB support (but I guess all ereaders can handle that except Kindle?)
- Not Kindle (I don't want to give my money to Amazon if I can help it)
- ...and I live in Norway, so it must be something I can get shipped here.
Nice to have:
- OK PDF support, including reflow
- Easy to download HTML from the web and read later
- Dictionaries
My short list is Sony PRS-T3, Cybook Odyssey HD FrontLight, or Icarus Illumina HD.
The Sony seems to have a better browser, and the Evernote integration seems nifty, but some reviews mention that the page turn buttons are sharp and uncomfortable -- that's a big drawback.
The Cybook might be hard to get -- I can buy it from Pixmania (which gets bad reviews), or bookeen.com, which seems to be very slow to ship stuff and has bad customer service, from the comments I've seen.
The Icarus is available from a Norwegian store (rebranded as Digitalbok Touch), and looks pretty comfortable to use. It doesn't have dictionaries, though.
Which would you recommend? Any others I should consider?
(added) I just noticed that Icarus Illumina HD
hasn't been released yet, so the
Digitalbok Touch must be some other model. I've contacted Digitalbok to find out.
