So, I must assure somebody besides the dog is at home, the entire day. BUT, if there is a problem, perhaps "the warehouse" would accept the return. (They failed to mention in which country "the warehouse" is located.)
Perhaps those who see FedEx as the shipping agency might want to consider the requirement for acceptance of delivery.

Offers members the opportunity to sign "in advance" of delivery, so the item would be delivered, even if nobody was home. Other options are also available at that site.

Most couriers will attempt to deliver at least 2X then you have to pick it up at their local depot. Something makes me think Fedex is a weird one in regards to this and give you 2 shots then send it back unless you proactively arrange to pick it up that the depot (usually after they leave their 1st notice). Many will also let you sign the first notice and leave it the next day and they will then leave the parcel with no one home.
